GETTING TO KNOW ME:
A passion for print, the knowledge of digital, and the motivation to learn more. My name is Laura John, and I'm a Graphic Designer in the big city of Toronto, and a Provisional RGD.
In my spare time, I'm either out at concerts and festivals, hitting the local flea markets, or I'm home with my little black kitten, Kyoko, watching the library of shows Netflix has to offer. I also enjoy silkscreening shirts, perfecting my carving skills with linoleum print making, and growing my green thumb with all of my little cacti and succulents.
To learn more about me please feel free to get it touch.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
Shores of Erie International Wine Festival - 2013
I designed the winning poster for the Shores of Erie International Wine Festival, which was chosen by a panel of industry judges. The brief we were provided was quite short, and they were mainly looking for something different than the previous years.
Downtown Revitalization Project, Windsor - 2012
Graphic Design and Interior Design students teamed up to create a business that would revitalize as well as bring tourism and families back to the downtown of Windsor. We put together the designs for the store, all of the branding, packaging, and other promotional materials. After being voted in the top 10 designs, we pitched our idea to local Interior Designers and Graphic Designers, who selected the most viable idea, while also considering the designs and work put into the project. My partner and I won first place for our concept design of a skate rental shop called 360.
